Zimmer rethinks architecture as a series of elements that harness energy, that are physically dynamic, generative, engage with nature and leave a trace that impacts and is impacted by its surroundings. It is a small dwelling-like installation, with solar, water and human-powered walls that might be considered legs. As its legs move, its spaces also reconfigure, and its feet, which are embedded with seeds, leave a trail of flowers as they amble seasonally across the land. This project is a collaboration between the departments of Architecture and Mechanical Engineering at Cornell University.
